Federal Credits

Tax credits are available for qualified solar water heating and photovoltaic systems. The credits are available for systems “placed in service” from January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2016. The tax credit is for 30% of the cost of the system. Excess credit may be carried forward to next tax year. Visit dsireusa.org for more information.

Home Value

According to The Appraisal Journal, home value increases by $10–$25 for every dollar reduction in annual utility bills. Adding solar will help you increase the value of your home by $30,000 or more!

California Rebates

California offers its own rebate incentives. Incentive reductions are linked to levels of solar demand rather than an arbitrary timetable, so the earlier you build the more you will get back!
